MUNICH / TOLLWOOD WINTERFESTIVAL 2016

This was my first time at the Tollwood Festival in winter. And you know what? When I
encountered the three stilt walking birds I was happy like a child and I would really like run
after them for the rest of the day. If you gonna visit this festival - and you should because of
the numerous illuminated tents with international organic food offers (insider tip: ethiopian
coffee), unique craft- and artworks and concerts - than be on the look-out for the three
enchanting birds.

/ Mein erstes Mal auf dem Tollwood Festival im Winter. Und wisst ihr was? Als ich den
drei Vögeln auf Stelzen begegnete, war ich glücklich wie ein Kind und wäre ihnen gerne für den
Rest des Tages hinterhergelaufen. Falls ihr das Festival besucht - und das solltet ihr, wegen der
 zahlreichen erleuchteten Zelten mit biologischem Essen aus aller Welt (Geheimtipp: äthiopischer
 Kaffee), einzigartigen Hand-werksprodukten und Kunstwerken und Konzerten - dann haltet
  unbedingt Ausschau nach den drei bezaubernden Vögeln.

MIDWEEK PROJEKT // RING

 

You need: flat pad adjustable ring, clay, glue for jewelleries & cutter knife. Roll the clay into a
 bead. Use the knife to carefully cut off a small section of the bead. Let dry according to the
 manuel. Attach the bead to the ring, as appropriate you can previously smooth the cut surface
 with sandpaper. You´re done!

/ Man braucht: Ringrohlinge, Fimo, Schmuckkleber & Cutter. Die Modelliermasse in kleine
 Kugeln formen. Mithilfe des Cutters einen kleinen Bereich der Kugel abschneiden.
 Laut Gebrauchsanweisung trocknen lassen. Die Kugel auf den Ring kleben, ggf. die
 Schnittfläche vorher mit Sandpapier glätten. Fertig!

BRACELET

You need about 12 inches of paracord, a clasp and some glue.

/ Man braucht ca. 30 cm Paracord (Nylonseil), einen Verschluss und etwas Kleber.

Now we have to tighten up our work. First pull gently both ends of the thread than go on with one
 loop and follow the thread - take your time -  till you reach one end of the thread.

/ Jetzt muss das ganze gestrafft werden. Beide Enden leicht anziehen und mit einer der Schlaufen
  weitermachen - bloß keine Eile - bis man ein Ende der Schnur erreicht.

Cut both ends of the thread a bit shorter than the perimeter of your wrist. Paracord is a little finicky, it

 will fray. Hold a flame on it for about 15 seconds till the fibres melt a little.

/ Beide Enden etwas kürzer schneiden als der Umfang des Handgelenks. Paracord ist ein wenig

kniffelig und franst leicht aus. Für ca. 15 Sekunden unter eine Flamme halten, bis die Fasern
 etwas miteinander verschmolzen sind.

Glue the clasps to the ends. / Die Verschlüsse mit Kleber an die Enden anbringen.

MARBLED CLAY

To follow the pictorial instruction of  A Beautiful Mess  brought up a very nice result immediately.

The only difficult thing is deciding which color to take. And shaping the clay into a roll requires

 some energy (all sorts with effects like the transluzent ones are harder to process). But all the effort

is worth it.

/ Der bebilderten Anleitung von  A BEAUTIFUL MESS zu folgen, brachte sofort ein sehr

 schönes Ergebnis. Das einzig schwierige ist, die Farben auszuwählen. Und das Fimo in Stränge

 zu formen, erfordert einiges an Kraft (alle Fimo-Sorten mit Effekten - wie die durch-

scheinenden Sorten - sind schwieriger zu verarbeiten). Aber der Aufwand lohnt sich.
